Really want to do one for 40th but get motion sick. Will I get sick on a hot air balloon ride? For context felt sick parachuting and on a light aircraft as well as usual boats etc!

I wouldn't think so. It's so slow that there isn't really much sense of motion.

Well, I have never parachuted, or any other dangerous airborne sports (but yes a small aircraft made me feel a bit weird too...), but DO get mildly travel sick, and hate rollercoasters etc. - BUT was absolutely fine in a hot air balloon. The baskets are usually very large and stable and the ascents and descents gradual (you would hope!).

Landing can be less gentle, but I think that depends on other factors.

We were on a game reserve in Kenya, and apparently there had been lion sightings where we were due to land. There was a bit of "dragging" and concern about the canopy on some thorny bushes. We lived to tell the tale though!
My daughter was 8 at the time, and she was fine too.

I think you will be OK - maybe don't look down too much....

I get car sick quite badly but was absolutely fine on a hot air balloon ride. If in doubt, take tablets before you ride.
