London fun restaurant for 9 year old

Hi

We are going to London with my 9 year old niece in a few weeks.

We would like to find a fun restaurant to take her to. We looked at the Rainforest Cafe but there are very few vegan options. And the Red bus afternoon tea is very expensive because it is bank holiday weekend.

Does anyone have any recommendations? My London knowledge is very out of date!

Many thanks

Brewdog Waterloo has a slice and an ice cream cart. Half of the menu is vegan or vegetarian and the entire headliner beer menu is vegan too.
Inamo has interactive table tops with menu, games, chef cam, customisable lighting etc… Doesn’t have a lot of vegan options, but it’s worth looking at the menu to see if something appeals because it’s definitely a fun restaurant.

I took my 8 year old to the Chesterfield in Mayfair for afternoon tea - it was great fun and they have a vegan menu:

When you say very few vegan options, would you be best going to a vegan restaurant then, very few restaurants have more than 2 or 3 vegan options for mains unless they are specialist. At that age my kids would choose Indian food, las iguanas or Comptoir libanese. They didn't want to go to family places as they were packed with little kids

Hi g@gogohmm. There was just a fake meat plant burger at the Rainforest Cafe. We are usually happy with just one vegan option, but not fake beef!

The rainforest cafe is grim food wise, even if the moving animals are cute.

My 9YO thinks the Wolseley off Piccadilly is the epitome of glamour. Especially the hot chocolate.

What about Inamo in Covent Garden, asian food. I've heard good things about it.

I think you might be better off looking for a vegan food guide for London like thelittlelondonvegan. Does she like sushi? We went to 123V which is a vegan restaurant specialising in vegan sushi, everything tasted incredible. Or newly opened Cream Dream cafe, a completely vegan cafe recently opened by a Ukrainian refugee, it's a very pink cafe with fancy looking treats.

www.clubmexicana.com/ I'd try Club Mexicana in Soho- fun for a 9yo and it's all vegan, although nb they do have fake meats.
