Harry Potter Studio Travel

Finally going to Harry Potter Studio but not sure how to arrange travel.
I am in Yorkshire so can either drive, minimum 3 hours or go by train, which is crazy expensive.
If I go by train i would probably do it all in one day, early travel, afternoon tour, and late evening travel home.
If I drive I will probably stay over at a hotel. so should I drive early, afternoon/evening tour , hotel stay, travel home in the morning? OR drive evening, hotel stay, morning tour, drive home afternoon/evening.
Im not the best when it comes to driving long distances in one day but there are 2 drivers.
Also thinking that the tour itself will be tiring ,as its many hours walking around.
Cost not really an issue as what I would save by driving , I would spend on hotel . 2 adults, 2 teens (16 &13)
If youve been, what would your suggestion be ?

Which station would you be arriving at - Watford Junction?

We've visited several times from Yorkshire. Usually the same routine - drive down the day before and stay in the nearby Holiday Inn. Tickets for the first tour of the day and then drive home afterwards. It's definitely a tiring day.

Make sure you allow enough time actually there. Theres so much to look at and read if theyre big fants you could spend most of a day there...

If you drive early, you will get stuck in traffic on the A1 / M1 / M25 so I'd travel the night before, do the tour and then drive home that evening.

I think I would drive up the day before and stay over night and start the tour for the morning. You can spent ad long as you like looking around, although once you come out of the first building you can’t return to that area. Or at least that’s how it was when I’ve been. I think if you drive down on the day you have the worry of missing your a lot if you get stuck in traffic.
We didn’t find it that tiring tbh, there’s a cafe half way round and also in the entrance, so you can have a break going round.

We are going from Yorkshire in a few weeks, driving down Friday night and staying at the premier inn Watford North and then have the studios booked for the first slot on the Saturday morning, giving us plenty of time to drive home afterwards.
