Has anyone stayed at St Pancras hotel?

I've admired that building since it was full of pigeons! Got a big birthday coming. Tempted to book a 2 night stay.

Would folks recommend it? I'd be booking as a destination in itself, although we'd have a weekend out in London, rather than using it as a Eurostar stopover.

Any advice for getting the best out of the historic side to the building?

Seriously don't care about any Harry Potter connection. I've loved the building before Harry Potter was a concept 🤣

I stayed two nights in 2016, it was lovely, very comfortable and the staff were so attentive. We went out for dinner and a show on the Friday and Wimbledon on the Saturday so it was more of a base for us. I would highly recommend it, such a treat, the breakfast was delicious and we had a bar meal at the hotel on the Saturday evening which was very good.

Is this the one where some of the rooms windows open inwards to the station?
