Looking at a reasonable drive from London for the August bank holiday over 3 nights. Are there any recommendations for a family of four (8 and 3 year old)? A B&B, hotel or caravan park - we don't mind. Main thing is, nearby places to explore. Interesting walks. I've looked at obvious places like Norfolk which we love and Dorset (haven't been before) but doesn't have to be near the sea. Could be a farm stay, Manor House geared up for children.

A feather down farm?

Combe Haven in Hastings is a really nice holiday park. The town is lovely, there's miles of pebble beach to explore and Battle Abbey is one of the most memorable historic sites I've been to. Highly recommend getting the audio guides, really brought it to life and the DC (6 & 9) found the children's version really engaging.

Cotswold Farm Park? It’s got a range of accommodation, stuff to do onsite and it’s close to Bourton on the Water which has a few attractions. When we stayed, we drove to Warwick Castle for the day. Lots of nice scenic walks nearby, including a Wildlife Trail on the farm.
