looking for fab hotel for birthday treat - must be right on the seafront

don't mind where just so long as it's norfolk/suffolk/essex or south coast. and directly next to the sea. any ideas?

how about the hotel victoria in lowestoft? right on the seafront and i can personally reccomend it as stayed there before my parents moved back to lowestoft a few years ago.

infact its such a good hotel its where my nan and grandad first met many many years ago!

southwold is beautiful and there are hotels on the sea dont know names tho you will have to search www

Update - we ended up in Aldeburgh, in a hotel called the Brudenell. Had a first floor, seaview room, which was lovely. We slept with the window open so we could listen to the sea. Woke up early to see the sunrise (as it faced due east) but unfortunately it was overcast and cloudy . Would highly recommend Aldeburgh, although it was a bit spooky as half the houses appear to be empty (holiday homes I suspect).
