Just been reading past threads but still a bit stuck for ideas - London weekend in a fortnight and have Saturday evening with me and teen DD. Anything in particular we should book/do? If not it was going to be a China Town/Covent Garden walk.... not sure if we've done this kind of thing too many times though?! Help!

A couple of random ideas - could you get theatre tickets for something? You can get cheap options if you buy on the day - try todaytix. Or go to somewhere like EL&N and have a cake and a hot drink. Go to Waterstones in Piccadilly and let her pick any book she wants? Or like you said, you can't go wrong with a Covent Garden / Chinatown stroll.

The Design Museum is open until 9 on Saturdays.

&juliet is great if you want a show. Battersea power station? It looks as if it has some lights on and there are shops / restaurants I think. You can also get a lift up for a view (not been but on my list)

There’s is a lights festival on in Canary Wharf and there is a food court there which the teen might enjoy for dinner.
