Am organising a hen weekend in Norwich - and wondered if anyone could give suggestions for central cheapish but nice hotels with a bar. And any suitable restaurents/ bars for the evening.....it won't be too wild but obv need to be able to let hair down a bit! Some one suggested the delia restaurent.

Anyone know Norwich cos I don't and I don't know any of the other hens (bar the bride) either......!!

Thanks

Why Norwich?

I live in Norwich but don't go out in the city at the weekend (too old for that these days unfortunately). But....

There is the Riverside which is a pedestrianised area with clubs/bars, ten pin bowling, Chinese Buffet restaurant, cinema etc. Delia has 2 restaurants at Carrow Road (home of NCFC) which would be within walking distance of the Riverside.

When I first moved here 7 years ago, we stayed in the Hotel Swallow Nelson which has a swimming pool and leisure club, it has recently sold out to Premier Lodge(think thats the name) and again is down by the Riverside. The train station is also in this area if you are coming to Norwich by this method.

And it's handy for clubs and pubs

Or at least it was when I lived there.

Ah it's a Premier Travel Inn

My dh stayed at the Maids Head on business prior to us moving here and didn't like it. He said it was noisy and the rooms at the back were awful. (sorry Brangelina )

EXACTLY what I wanted, thanks v much!

Tiredmama - Norwich because the bride lives there (I don't) and so do her other friends - or they live in norfolk generally and it felt like a central place to meet up.

Thanks!

Fatso's Restaurant, this is close to the Riverside too, looks a bit grotty on the outside but actually does quite nice food. I would imagine they would welcome a hen party.

brill. just what I wanted
(do you happen to know any strippers?!!!)

S'alright, I'm out of touch it's been so long. We only ever went there for a drink, I've never stayed there.
