Nice hotels with pool / animals / near NT or EH?

Looking for any recommendations for a nice hotel or other accommodation that has an indoor pool onsite with maybe a petting zoo or similar and nearish to any National Trust or English heritage places? Can be CADW too but we’ve done quite a few of them already. It’s DH special birthday in half term, we have a 16m and I’ll be 35+ weeks pregnant. Happy to travel 3/4 hours from the NW, ideally not Cornwall / Devon.

Thanks!

Rudding Park, Harrogate. Close to Harewood House which has animals. Fountains Abbey just up the road is a world heritage site. Knaresborough lovely walk along the river.

Lucknam Park is close to Dyrham Park, Lacock Abbey and just less than an hour from Stourhead and Stonehenge.
The Ickworth in Suffolk is slap bang next to Ickworth House, and not far from Anglesey Abbey and Wicken Fen.

Check the opening times for NT type places as many aren’t fully open over the winter!
fountains abbey is stunning but I’m not sure I’d want to be walking back up that hill to the entrance at 35 weeks pregnant!

@emmathedilemma Fountains Abbey - there is a second car park with level access at the West side.

Ickworth is really lovely, and there is something very special about getting to stay in the NT grounds after hours.

About 10 years ago I spent Xmas at Ickworth with DH and DD (5 at the time). It was lovely.

I can't remember what age you can leave children unsupervised in the creche (but they would certainly let you in with the toys together).

If that was too far away for you, then look at Calcot Manor in the Cotswolds (nr Tetbury) and Woolley Grange near Bath.

Lucknam is beautiful, but not cheap

It wouldn't be too far to drive to Adam Henson(?)'s farm (Cotswold Farm Park) or the Cotswold Wildlife Park from these.

Saying that, you've reminded me that I need to persuade DH that we're having a couple of nights with teen at Another Place in the Lake District this summer.

We've probably been to most of the EH/Welsh/NT places up and down the Welsh border so shout if you want any feedback. At your DC's age we would just dress her up in PU dungarees, coat and wellies and let her wade through puddles!
