AIBU to ask for your recommendations for family friendly uk breaks?

We recently returned from 3 days away in Butlins Minehead, which we enjoyed, but we have been there 3 times in 18 months, and are getting a little bored of it.

AIBU to ask if you have any recommendations for a family friendly holiday park with plenty of activities suitable for children under 5, that don't cost the earth please?

Thinking of going somewhere in May/June time and possibly again between Christmas and New Year.

We live near Bristol, so Somerset, Devon or Wales might be the best locations for us.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations you can give.

We've been looking at bluestone , but not been there yet to personally recommend it.

Lots to do here.

Not the 'poshest' place but very good value for money and lots to do for different ages.

We have been here three times and enjoyed it each time :)

That looks great @Fivemoreminutes1 but unfortunately it's nearly 4 hours away from us, and our dc are both under 4, so it's a bit too far for them.

At least I now know that south Wales would be more suitable for us than North Wales. Thank you.

Bluestone is great, Woolacombe area in Devon one of our faves - there are a few holiday parks

Rosalindisafuckingnightmare · 08/01/2023 19:22

Bluestone is great with little ones.
Or a smaller scale farm/pool family friendly situation. Something like Clydey Cottages in Pembrokeshire, Glynn Barton in Cornwall, Flear Farm in Devon.

Lovetotravel123 · 08/01/2023 19:27

Maybe you could turn ‘family friendly’ on its head. My suggestion would be to go to any nice place in the UK, get an Airbnb, and you can always find fun things for the kids to do outside eg. parks.

My first thought was Bluestone in Pembrokeshire too. There is so much to do on site and lots of beautiful beaches nearby. Folly Farm is a great day out and nearby places like Tenby, Saunderfoot and Narbeth are nice places to visit.
