Saturday night stay in Cambridge, any suggestions for dinner?

My best friend has very kindly invited me to a night away at The University Arms in Cambridge in early March ... she's my best mate for a reason

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could treat her for a lovely dinner whilst there please?

Or any other must see things to see or do? I went many years ago and visited some of the colleges which were lovely but that's not really her thing.

My favourite places to eat in the evening are River Bar Steakhouse and Grill, SIX, The Ivy and Trinity.

Depends on what sort of thing she likes Midsomer House and Restaurant 22 are lovely for special occasions. The Ivy is also great and I often take my mum there for lunch as a treat.

I like the Ivy. There are so many options though. What kind of food do you both like?

Kettle's Yard is a great place to visit - the house and gallery. There's also a small gallery at Downing College.
