Please could you explain TFL fares to me

Me and ds are off to London in Feb for a few days. As he is obsessed with the tube we will be mainly tube riding across the 3 x days. He is 9 so I believe under 11s travel for free, however please could you let me know if there is a cap on adult travel costs per day? I fully expect to be travelling on every tube line across all zones so I want to understand whether I could purchase something like a day rider which would work out more cost efficient for me? I know some of you lovely mumsnetters will have the answer for me. Thanks in advance ☺️

Zone 1-6 is £13.50 per day.

If you use your card or apple pay it just stops charging you automatically

Using a debit card to tap in and tap out is the cheapest and easiest way to travel. It will automatically apply the daily cap.

Make sure you go through the wide exits. So many accidents happen to out-of-towners when the try to squeeze through the single person exit with a child.
Load up the bus app and the TFL go app. These give you info about where to catch buses and what is around you wherever you are.

a really fun and cheap way to see London is to get the 11 bus which goes from Liverpool Street to Chelsea. Go upstairs, sit at the front if you can and get a Birdseye few of all the sights. Get of and on as it takes you fancy.
