Ideas for London with kids near Christmas

I’ll be in London with my 3.5 and 6.5 year olds for a few days just before Christmas. I’d welcome suggestions of:

  1. Christmassy things/places/events
  2. Attractions for kids - We’re interested in most things (but probably a bit biased towards inside this cold time of year - last time we were there my son loved the museum play areas). Maybe there are new museums, shows etc., or some special events for the school holidays?
  3. Places to watch the World Cup final that allow kids/are kid friendly but still have a good atmosphere.

Thanks!

Kenwood house in Hampstead or Syon Park lights shows are both lovely. You need to book

The South Bank

Light show, Christmas market, and the foyer of the Royal Festival Hall is a great place for an indoor sit down and toilet break. Stroll along from the Aquarium if you go there (not cheap but can use Tesco points I think).
