I'm coming to london this week with my 7 and 9 year old and can't figure what is the best way to get there. Travelling from North West but the total mess that Avanti trains are even without strikes that were cancelled too close to cancel has put me off risking that. The underground strike has ended any idea of driving to a tube end and leaving the car there. Is it hopelessly optimistic to think I can drive into kings cross being a country driver and be able to park! Or does anyone have a suggestion of where I could drive too and leave the car to get into London on a train that is likely to run?
