Me and DH are going to London to celebrate our wedding anniversary and would love to go somewhere very gorgeous for lunch.
We’ll be going mid-December so somewhere Christmassy would be good too.
A restaurant we loved not so long ago was Fenchurch in the Sky Garden so something along those lines would be good.

Tom Kerridge at the Corinthia - we went in December last year and had the festive set menu, lovely. Have never been disappointed with a Tom Kerridge restaurant , Hand & Flowers also ace.

Murano
Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital road

The restaurants at the Firmdale hotels are lovely. I enjoyed both Brumus at the Haymarket Hotel and Oscar at Charlotte Street Hotel.

Not sure if this will be swanky enough, but I love this place. It is very Christmassy imo

For a gorgeous over the top interior and good fun I love Bob Bob Ricard. The best tasting menu I've ever had was Pollen Street Social.

Liking the look of the Corinthia and Bob Bob Ricard at the moment!

Any more please?

The Sushi Samba in Covent Garden is inside the market hall (which is always big on Xmas decorations) so would be worth a look.

Bubala Covent Garden is gorgeous but maybe not fancy enough for you?

Somewhere traditional like The Ritz, The Savoy or similar? They’re always big on Xmas decorations. Or go for afternoon tea instead of lunch which will be really Xmassy.

The Wolseley.

Either of the two restaurants at Claridge's would be fabulous.

Hawksmoor if you are steak people (though the fish options are good), cocktails to die for, consistently excellent service and a strong ethical background from how they looked after staff during the pandemic to their b corp rating.
Barrafina for Spanish, outstanding. The Cinnamon Club at Westminster for Indian. Drinks in their library set the tone!
Visited all 3 many times over the last decade and never let me down.

Ditto Pollen Street Social.
