Leeds First Direct Arena - where to park. Not sure if right topic:

Took DD to gig last week at Leeds First Direct arena - we're from Manchester and don't know Leeds. Parked at the CitiPark for ease (but not whizz). We were stuck in it for ages waiting to get out after the gig. Any ideas about somewhere better?

I street park around Park Square and walk up, 13mins walk according to Google. You're then straight out and can be on the motorway in 10mins.

The university is open for public parking after 5pm and at weekends.

Woodhouse Lane multi-storey. Get there early and park on (I think) the 12th floor. Look for an exit sign up there near the ramp which goes up to the next level. There's an exit ramp which goes round the outside of the building avoiding the queues on the lower levels going down.
When you come out the lifts will be rammed, but the stairs are a good workout!
