Somewhere fabulous in the Midlands

Seeking inspiration for somewhere lovely to treat my best friend to an overnight stay in November. Pool/spa/spa treatments would be good but mostly needs to have good food and just feel really special. She has overcome massive health problems this year and I am so lucky she is still here to come with me - grateful for any suggestions!

Malvern is a beautiful spa town in Worcestershire with a lot of history and has a really lovely health spa where you can have treatments and relax. Some pretty nice independent hotels and good rail connections.

I'd also check out anywhere in the Cotswolds.

Ragdale hall? Think you and friend will love it.

There are loads of nice places around Cheltenham. Cowley Manor is meant to be good.

I’d avoid Malvern-the spa is in an industrial site! Much nicer ones around imo. ragdale is lovely.
