Cheaper CBeebies land and splash pool stay

I want to visit Alton towers with my toddlers and stay over night, also want to visit the water park. CBeebies land quoted me £500 for 1 night!
is there any cheaper hotels in walking distance as may come via train?
would it be best going to the theme park first day then water park the following morning?

From experience, CBeebies hotel is generally around £300 a night whilst the park is open, so unlikely to be much less if you want to do park/waterpark and CBeebies hotel. The other hotels are less expensive, so if you're willing to stay at another hotel on the resort, this will bring the cost down depending on dates. If you would rather the CBeebies hotel experience, then another option would be to stay out of season on their Stay, Splash and Play package- but no rides open, would just be hotel and waterpark. There are hotels nearby, but not that close and not that I'd want to walk to with toddlers. Driving would be much easier.

Thanks for info. I’m not bothered about CBeebies hotel, I just want to go to CBeebies land and the water park, think it’ll be too much for one day then train home. Maybe we could get an Uber to a nearby hotel

Yeah quite possibly, there are a few places to stay nearby- more B&Bs though I think. The nearest train station is Uttoxeter which is around 10 miles away though, so it's not the most convenient place to travel to by train.

Not too much help if you definitely come by train but incase you decide to come by car - we stayed in Stoke on trent which is a 30 minute drive, we had 2 days there. Was super cheap in a chain hotel. Think £120ish for the 2 nights for 4 of us and it meant we had lots of restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner. We would stay there if we went again!
