Hit me with your suggestions for Feb half term... 3DDs 10-13

Looking to get away February half term for a week and looking at renting a cottage. We've rented cottages before and always seem to be miles from anywhere and it's hard to fill the week. We have 3DDs 10-13 so looking for activities to fill the day:.. any recommendations? They like swimming, shopping, bowling, climbing etc.

There’s lots to do onsite at Darwin Forest and it’s quite close to lots of good attractions such as Heights of Abraham, Black Rocks and Chatsworth.
Also Brankley Cottages is very well placed www.brankleycottages.co.uk

How far are you willing to travel from where you live? It sounds more like you need a city break than a rural cottage.

How about York or Liverpool for a city break or stay near the Iron Gorge.

Thank you all. Have found a nice cottage in York. We're Hampshire and ideally within 3 hours... tempted with Oxford but struggling to find much!
