Hotel in Eastville Park

I wonder if any of you clever people could help me? I'm trying to book a hotel for my DS which is near/in Eastville Park, Bristol. He doesn't mind a bit of a walk but I don't want to book anything (it's my treat) and it be to far away.

I just thought someone might know the best one to book.

Thank you

Blimey, they are all guest houses around there (Fishponds Road) and all a bit ropey to say the least. Your probably best off getting one in town and he can get an Uber to it.

Thanks @JlL2013 . He did say it was a bit rough! Is the Premier Inn that far away? He could get a cab but will probably walk it

Yeah it's a walk to be honest, he could get a bus from fishponds road though. Is he at Tokyo World?

Trampoline11 · 16/09/2022 12:52

Yes Tokyo World. He would normally stay with his friend who is at Uni there but now he's older, he doesn't fancy a floor to sleep on!

Sorry to keep harping on but if you were me or him, where would you book?

I'd go for the Premier Inn, always a safe bet. I've not actually stayed in any Bristol Hotels so can't really give recommendations. I would definitely avoid staying anywhere on Fishponds Road though.

Hope he has a good time.

Thanks JIL2013. You're right about a Premier Inn being a safe bet.

I might hang on a bit before booking in case someone else comes along with a recommendation.

I think the best option would be premier inn, the one on the haymarket is nearest I think. He could easily walk to Eastville park from there in about 20 mins.

I’d do the same, unlike most of Bristol it’s actually a reasonably flat walk between the centre and eastville park!

Thank you so much. That's really helpful. Haymarket it is. Hope they have a room!

Bugger! It's full. Lewins Mead same sort of distance? It looks like to me using the map but you can never be sure.

Yeah Lewinsky Mead will be fine, centre of Bristol is all walkable.

JlL2013 · 16/09/2022 16:38

Lewins Mead even. Also who looking at hotels close to Cabot Circus.

Hope you find somewhere.
