Hi I desperately need some ideas for day trip or overnight stay from the midlands. 1.5 hrs drive is doable for us. Something with some history and interesting for kids 6and 8
or something picturesque

various theme parks in the Midlands

Warwick castle? The accommodation lodges are fab.
