Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’m looking to travel from the uk to Dublin with my 9 week old. He doesn’t have a passport, so will be travelling using a birth certificate, is that possible and what is the process?

It depends on the method of travel. For example if Ryan Air passports are needed. Aer Lingus your own ID and birth cert. However clearing passport control you would need both parents or a consent letter.
Ferry is similar to Aer Lingus

I’m the only parent on the birth certificate so would I still need consent?
