Center Parcs - Whinfell or Sherwood with a 10MO

We are thinking of booking a CP break in early October. DD will be 10MO- can anyone who has been to both recommend either Whinfell or Sherwood for this age range, or just in general?

I’ve only been to whinfell and was considering trying sherwood next year too but after reading some reviews I’m sticking with whinfell!
the pool is meant to be better at sherwood but for a 10m old it would make no difference really! I love CP 😍

@Luckymummytoone I've never been to CP! We've chosen it over a holiday abroad though so hoping it's fun! We're the reviews of Sherwood bad? Whinfell is closer so we will probably go there

There is definetly more to do swimming wise at Whinfell. Is was also so easier to get a changing cubicle. On each day we walked straight to one - at Sherwood there was always a bit of a scramble.
The Forest at Whinfell seems a bit more unspolit than Sherwood (where every spare bit seems to have had a villa built on it from when I first went). That said the villas are not as well placed and as hidden as Sherwood. Sherwood is a bit more spread out. Whinfell is really quite small, so all the restaurants etc. are close together all situated around the lake. I personally prefer Sherwood but with small children it might be better to go to Whinfell where everything's close by.

Aw you’ll love it! I’ve taken my son since he was that age as well (he is 8now)! So much for them to do.
from what I had read the accommodation wasn’t at nice and all the shops etc are open air - where as whinfell is mostly under cover which is good for winter. I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time whichever you go to though! I love the peacefulness of the forest! Xx

I've never been to Sherwood but went to Whinfell last year with a 19m old. We absolutely loved it, and are going back next year. Everything is relatively close together and it has a fab pool, with lots of shallow bits for babies!
