Swimming in NE - Sewage alert?

Hi All holidaying in the NE next week - was planning to go to Marske beach but I see it’s closed due to sewage - surrounding beaches are open so could go to those but they are so close to beaches closed to sewage levels - would you swim / allow kids to play in the open beaches given proximity to closed beach?? Or avoid altogether?? Do NOT want a tummy upset on holiday!!

I’d avoid Marske and the immediate surrounding beaches like Redcar and Saltburn. If you have a car I’d either go south to Staithes or Whitby or north to Seaham.

@TattiePants thank you. Apparently Robin Hoods Bay is also closed which makes me a bit wary of Whitby as it’s quite close. Would you risk it or do you think best avoided altogether?
