Family-Friendly break in North Devon - Suggestions, please??

Hello!

Just doing some research for a friend who is looking for a nice, family-friendly place to go for a weeks holiday at the end of April. She doesn't want to go to a "camp" type place, she just wants to find somewhere pleasant, ultra family-friendly and not too expensive in the North of Devon. She has two little boys, 3.5 yrs and 14 months.

Can anyone suggest / recommend anything??

I've only heard good reports of Ruda in Croyde. I don't think that it is a camp along the lines of Butlins but there is a lovely kids swimming pool with lots of extras, a fab beach and plenty of family friendly places to eat.

If she really doesn't want other people around then there are loads of holiday cottages in N. Devon too. Does she mind which part of the coast she is on and does she have a car?

I've no idea if she minds about the part of the Coast and yes she does have a car and they will be driving to the venue.

Thank you!

I second what has been said about Ruda in Croyde. Another one which is good is Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park (Woolacombe, obviously!) which has all sorts of amenities. Is really well maintained as well.

If she really wants to avoid somewhere like this, there are some good holiday cottage complexes, try Marsdens Cottage Holidays marsdens
There are plenty of places to fo with little children, Watermouth Castle just outside Ilfracombe, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo, the Milky Way. I used to live in North Devon for years, and these are the places I took my dd which she loved!

Also the beaches are stunning - Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde being especially beautiful. These are the villages I would recommend she stays in to get the best holiday.

I don't really know what you mean by family-friendly but this place near Braunton is great.

It's a real get-away-from-it-all type of place, but a short drive to all the towns, villages, beaches, attractions etc in North Devon.

Very good prices too!

Thak you for this, guys - keep them coming!

By "family-friendly", I think she seems lots of stuff around for the children to go to and enjoy - and for accommdation to be "child-friensly" e.g. highchairs, cots etc - may be a swimming pool, enclosed garden space etc - Does thst make sense??
