Where to stay near Legoland?

We would like to spend two days visiting Legoland - our daughter is a big fan. We are looking for a place to sleep for two nights and there are no houses available on Airbnb. The resort hotel is far too expensive. Can anyone recommend a hotel with proper beds and interconnecting rooms - not sofa beds (we fear them not sleeping well as we have never stayed in a hotel with our children).

Try the Holiday Inn at Reading if you'll have a car. They used to do a hotel package including legoland tickets which was quite reasonable and they had interconnecting rooms.

Anywhere round Slough or Windsor or even some of the Heathrow hotels that are outside the airport complex would be fine for location.

We stayed here. 10 mins away and great breakfast.
There is a harvester not far too.

Have a look at holiday Inn or Premier inn in Maidenhead.

There is a macdonalds hotel nearby, I'm sure it had proper beds rather than sofa beds and also had a pool too
