Beach recommendations a couple of hours drive from London

Can anyone recommend a beach for a day visit from London please? Within a couple of hours or so drive/train journey. We've done Bournemouth and Brighton to death!

Broadstairs has a nice beach and with the added bonus of a Folk week this week.

WHistable is a lovely little town - shingle beach not sand.

Joss bay and Botany Bay are lovely beaches.

Margate - lovely sandy beach, has The Turner exhibition, nice shops on seafront but regeneration hasn’t reached further back.

Littlehampton is nice. I like Dymchurch but it can be a bit kiss me Kwik. Minnis Bay also pretty nice but not much beach at high tide.

Another vote for Margate

West Wittering is a beautiful beach.

What about Camber Sands?
