really nice cottage recommendations Pembrokeshire in October

We're looking at Pembrokeshire in October half-term - 2 primary age kids.

I've done some looking at Airbnb and lots of self catering options but not with quite right combination of what we are looking for.

So folks does anyone have any recommendations for a luxury self-catering cottage with atleast 2 bedrooms that has a great view, close to Pembrokeshire activities (never been before) and is just generally really nice ? Budget not an issue.

Thanks!

Clydey is fantastic in every way (the view from the pool is especially amazing) but likely to be booked up. Also have a look at Musselwick Farm and East Jordeston.

We had a lovely stay here a few years ago . Great base for exploring.

Newport in North Pembs excellent if you like beach / outdoorsy stuff.

They might not be on airbnb, lots have their own site or on more cottage or homes to rent sites.( lots have been burnt by air bnb over pandemic period) so searching Google might bring up more results.
Freshwater east beach is magic if you can.
There is a little annex of holiday cottages at the bottom, but if you can find one of the chalets in the hillside there are some hidden gems and wowza homes.

Thanks @kateandme , it did look like the supply on Airbnb wasn't great so will check directly searching on Google maps.

Appreciate the recommendation @outwest , is Newport quite a drive from the typical sites (I have no idea about ease of accessibility )? We have our car but don't want to be spending loads of time in it.

Newport is one of the "typical sites" and has lots of holiday accommodation but is in North. South Pembs e.g. Tenby busier, more tourists, roads can get quite clogged say around Amroth, Saundersfoot.

Coastal cottages of Pembrokeshire is a good place to start. Lots of local cottage owners use them. The good ones tend to get booked up fast as soon as booking opens.
Blue stone is in quite a good position for striking out in lots of different directions.

Timber Hill is excellent. They have a new holiday cottage which is AMAZING but might be more than you need. It's cheap though, I think Oxrober half term is about £1800 for the week. We spend the week there every October, rockpooling at Broad Haven and crabbing in Solva. Nothing commercialised unless you want it. Folly Farm and Oakwood are in Arms reach.

We got back yesterday and can't go this October...hence telling you about it. I'll fight you for it Oct 24 though 😂
