Hi, what documents do I need to send for the first newborn child's British passport?

When you do the application it will tell you what to send - online is quicker and cheaper. Normally the long birth certificate. If done online you'll need details of the person verifying their identity. You'll need your passport number too

Sorry for one of the questions about the birth certificate I understand I need to send the child's birth certificate but another question is whether I need to send the father's birth certificate as well I mean my birth certificate?

I've just sent an application for my DD and I was only asked to send her birth certificate.

Just the child's birth certificate and passport numbers of you/her dad
