Any ideas / experiences for family of four DD5 & DS1 - want somewhere not too posh but offering something a bit special and potential for an evening meal for us grown-ups.

WE stayed here for a weekend. Very nice bedrooms ( really quite special) and nice "foody" pub type food. Very handy for Mahlam cove and Ingleton Caves if that's what you had in mind.

It's the Tempest Arms In Elsack. I'd recommend it for a weekend but not for longer really .

Thanks for that it looks very nice - why only weekend?

It's in the middle of nowhere really and a few days of our boys embarrasing us in the restaurant was quite enough. It would be gorgeous for a child free romantic break though. It is child friendly and relaxed so I dont want to put you off. Our boys can be particulary hideous on a bad day. They loved Ingleton Caves, though.

Thanks for the heads up. Mine are prefectly capable of embarassment too! Anyone else been to area - got any recommendations?
