Things to do in Tenby with an 8 month old

Hi

We are going to Tenby for a long weekend myself my husband and 8 month old.

can anyone recommend any good attractions?
I saw there is a dinosaur park, looks good but not sure it has anything for a baby. Any good zoos?

Hi, OP - No, I don't think there is much at the Dinosaur Park for babies.

For zoos - Manor Park zoo is just down the road from the Dinosaur park. It is small-ish but fun. However, Folly Farm is very close by and for my money is much better. If you only have time for one, choose Folly Farm. It started as a farm park, and this aspect is still there, but it is also a fully fledged zoo too. Plus there is a massive indoor funfair, including rides (lots of flashing lights!) and things like silly mirrors, as well as lots of outdoor play.

With an 8 month old though, I would plan to be on the beach a lot - sand is fascinating for little ones. Tenby has three really great ones. I'd recommend Castle Beach for sand, and South Beach for something a bit more wild.

Tenby is a fantastic place - I think you will love it. I'm not local but have visited a lot. Let me know if you want any other recommendations!

Folly Farm is excellent.
There’s a buggy friendly walk at Colby Woodland Garden through a valley towards the beach. The Bothy Tea Room is worth a visit too – the courgette and lime cake was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had! There are baby changing facilities too.

Folly farm is amazing.
Saunders foot has a lovely beach for little ones.
