Afternoon all

We're off on hols this weekend and heading to Cromer. Once we're past Kings Lyn on the A148 we're about half way so hoping to stop somewhere naice for lunch or coffee. Possibly both.

Ideally no longer than a 10 minute detour off the road so as not to add too much more time onto a loong drive.

All good types considered and ideally budget friendly.

Any ideas?

Knights Hill pub is literally just out of Lynn and is on the roundabout at the top of the hill.

or take the Hunstanton road and then turn to Castle Rising where the tea shop is fabulous . Not sure how far this is as been a while since I went that way

I stayed in fakenham once plenty of options there but it's too long for me to remember names

Depends on your budget! Sandringham is not far, plenty of space to stretch your legs and good food. Or if your budget is smaller there's a sainsburys/tesco/dobbies at the roundabouts near King's Lynn if you just want a predictable cafe.

The Ffolkes at Hillingdon which is actually on the A148 is lovely. Or a bit further on that road is The Crown at East Rudham.

Sandringham Estate is an option if you want somewhere to walk. There’s a picnic area with tables right next to the car park (unfortunately you have to pay for parking). There are toilets and an epic play area if you have kids!
There’s The Cartshed Tearoom at Great Massingham which is excellent and such good value.
