Not sure where to post this... was hopping to book the rollercoaster restaurant for next week but it's fully booked.
Where's nearby for when we leave there?

The Star at Cotton is nice, but it depends which direction you're heading I suppose! Leek and Ashbourne both have a couple of nice places.

The Bridge House in Alton

roller coaster restaurant was really underwhelming- it’s like wetherspoons on wheels. great novelty for the kids to have their food come whizzing to the table but food very average. The pub just outside alton towers is by far the best food outlet there

That's a happy accident!!! Under whelming and seriously crap food.

Try anywhere in leek - 20mins or so away, lovely little market town, chains such as whetherspoons but also local places too!!

Duncombe Arms in Ellastone -- pricy, but very good. Closed Monday and Tuesday. About 10/15 mins from Alton Towers.
There is a Marstons and Wetherspoons in Uttoxeter - 20 Mins from Alton Towers
