Travel to London stadium

Hi, I am new here and praying someone can offer advice.
We have just been given two tickets for the chilli peppers Saturday 25th, and coming from Hampshire. I don't know London at all and really stressing about getting there because of the strikes.
I don't know whether to drive/where to park or try to find somewhere to stay overnight. Can anyone recommend somewhere to either park or stay, areas to head for. If we go by train it will be Waterloo.... 🤞

If you come into Waterloo then it couldn't be easier to get to the Stadium. Just the jubilee line to Stratford which takes 20 mins then a 15 minute walk. Loads of signs from Waterloo station to the Jubilee Line and then there's be loads of people walking there once you get to Stratford. Loads of signs too.

I wouldn't drive. The roads around Stratford are boggling and difficult to get on and off.

I would then get a hotel around Waterloo/SouthBank. The tube will run very very late and everywhere will still be busy.

You can park at westfield shopping centre and walk over to the stadium. Its about 10 mins walk. Car park, i think is the closest of the three car parks, and open all night. Its about £9 IIRC correctly to park, but took me over an hour to leave after the foo fighters gig a few years ago. If you do get the train, you want stratford station which is on the jubilee line from waterloo.

If you drive, its easy to get to off of the A12, especially if you have an up to date sat nav, or use google maps.

Thankyou, just stressing about getting stranded due to strikes... but you made it sound easy 😃

Thankyou, I don't mind getting held up in traffic, just want to get there and feel safe and sorted so we can enjoy the concert ☺️

I work at the stadium a fair bit, and find it easy to drive to. Its just the queues getting out of the car park can be long. Park on the lowest floor you can find a space. If you get there early theres plently of shops and restaurants at westfield to keep you entertained.

Thankyou that's a good idea

Sorry, that should read car park A is the closest to the stadium. Enjoy the gig, I was due to be working it, but pulled out to go elsehwere!

We are having a similar issue also thinking of driving from Hampshire. Causing me anxiety and I am thinking should we even bother! As I have no idea what tubes are running if any

Did you make it? We ended up driving to Wimbledon, using justpark to park outside someone's house and tubing in....it got a bit messy coming back as we had two stops on South Western rail - Waterloo to Wimbledon but we made it eventually ☺️.. great concert 😃

Yes we drove the whole way and parked in one of the shopping centre car parks, suggested on this thread. We got stuck in traffic on the way up and we made sure we left early for a pain free journey home! Shame we missed the last couple of songs but it was a great concert! And I am glad we went.
