Hello fellow travellers and swimmers, Can anyone tell me what I need to do to gain access to the Serpentine Lido? Do I need to book ahead or just turn up? What are the opening times? Information like that would be great, and is missing from the Royal Parks website. Thinking of going end of June. Thank you!

I'm a member of the Serpentine Club so have seen the notice board at the lido.
The lido will be open to the public from 4 July. Club members have to be out of the water by 9.30 so I think the lido opens either 10am or 10.30. Pre-pandemic it would close at 6pm but last year a cafe opened on the upper terrace which forced the lido to close at 4pm. I heard that the operator was campaigning to open even earlier and have the lido close at 2pm. Have no idea what has happened with this.
Hopefully the Royal Parks will update the webpage before the opening on 4July.
Happy swimming!

Thank you very much for the info Puddleglum. I hope that the club members are not badly impacted by the public opening and that the cafe hours respect the swim accessibility. With so many pools closing around the UK, I hope we can all continue to swim long into the future.
Happy swimming!!
