What are some places to hang out in Manchester apart from Manchester Arndale?

What sort of thing do you want to do?

Callimanco · 05/06/2022 10:34

You don't want to hang about in the arndale!
How long are you there? What were you thinking of - shopping? Siteseeing? Museums? Pubs?

Hoppinggreen · 05/06/2022 10:36

There are so many better places than The Arndale. What do you want to do?

lucyapplejuicy · 05/06/2022 10:40

It depends! Children in tow or not?

Museum of science and industry, Manchester museum, chethams library, obviously look around the shops, walk through the print works, a pint in shambles square on a nice day, walk around Harvey nicks/selfridges, eat out..so many great places to eat! Check out afflecks palace.

It's a great city and there's something for everyone we often go alone or with the kids. Live just 10 mins outside of the city centre.

MissBlacksheep · 05/06/2022 11:59

No kids. Just some sightseeing. Visited the arndale so many times.

I don't live far from Manchester. Would like to visit some new places when I do go there. For a day out.

Don't go to the Arndale!
Spinningfields or Northern Quarter or Antcoats for a mooch around

bjjgirl · 08/06/2022 17:33

Afflex palace if it's still there

Afflex palace if it's still there

It is - and I am officially the coolest Mum on the planet for introducing my teen and her friends to it

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 08/06/2022 17:41

Northern quarter, Affleck Palace, many museums, John Rylands library, At Peter's square area.

Amdone123 · 08/06/2022 17:44

Second John Ryland's library - it's a beautiful building.

maddy68 · 08/06/2022 17:51

The arndale is possibly the worst thing in. Manchester

The museums and galleries are amazing , so many cool bars and restaurants particularly spinning fields or northern quarter

TheFrustratedRedhead · 08/06/2022 17:53

Manchester Cathedral and Chetham’s School of Music. :)
