Last minute plan to visit a beach tomorrow - recommendations for beaches not too far from London (max 2hours by car) as lo suffers from sickness on long journeys.

Whether it’ll take you 2 hours rather depends on which bit of London you’re starting from, and the bank holiday traffic…

Essex from n London. We were going to visit relatives in Brighton tomorrow but have replanned, it's the best day weather wise for the weekend and the traffic will be awful.

Southend is 'earthy in parts, so you'll have to take the rough with the smooth.
But my DC loved the pier, the monorail, the rides at Adventure Island and the aquarium.
