Dinner and must sees in London

oh wise ones…I’ll be going in to London for a couple of days with husband and 15 year old daughter. Would love to do something different and take them somewhere nice for dinner. No theatre as we already have that sorted for one night. So any other suggestions especially of really good restaurants (not fine dining, just good food with a fun atmosphere) would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I have a 14yrold DD and she loves the 7 dials Market eating experience. Loads of options you can all eat different cuisine and sit together sometimes live music and a bar too.

If you can get a counter table for three at Boca Di Lupo - Italian.
Beijing Dumpling on Lisle Street.
Hoppers in Soho - Sri Lanken.
Again counter dining at Kiln - unusual Thai.
Cafe de nata in Soho for big packs of custard tarts.

(I always think watching people cook is good fun but you might disagree!)

You need to book

Tate Modern to visit. Ronnie Scott's if something fun on?

Camden market? Or shoreditch market? Or borough market? All good options for food and exploring

Dishoom, flat iron

Oh yes was also going to say Dishoom. Good for breakfast too. The Breakfast Club.
Bone Daddies for noodles.

Sky Garden. Fancy cinema. Street art walking tour.

Pizza Express Jazz Club (there are a few venues). Standard PE menu plus live music/comedy, depending on what's on.

DD will probably love the Big Mamma restaurants - there are a couple, very maximalist inside, loads of instagrammers. Food is good though and they are good fun. You will need to be on it to book the moment the dates open, turning up on the day probably won't work

I also think a drink or meal in one of the shard restaurants would be a lovely thing to do. Expensive but it would feel v special.

Mine love the Japan Centre near Leicester Square - great ramen restaurant and a cool Japanese supermarket downstairs. We eat there far too much 😂

Oh my gosh thank you all these are fabulous suggestions and will definitely be on my list!!!!

Duck and Waffle or Sushi Samba - bonus of great views - although I haven’t been for a while . . .
