Manchester Airport to Old Trafford

We're (friend and I) flying over with kids from Cork for the day to visit Man United FC for the tour. We should arrive at 08:40 and are hoping to either take the bus or the train. Looking at bus and trains it looks almost impossible as bus leaves at 09:05 and train leaves at 09:20 ish. We're travelling with 5 kids (9,7,6,5 and 21 month old). Our tour of the stadium is at 11:30. Any travel ideas will be appreciated.

Have you looked at the tram? It's unbelievably slow coming through Wythenshawe but I'd think you'd get there in time. Probably change at Cornbrook but check on the GMPTE website.

For the distance, your numbers/ages ( especially with LOs) and convenience I’d book a mini van cab straight there.

The tram will be super easy, and they run every 12 minutes.
