I enjoyed the stay but got really messed around by the booking team the 2nd time we went and would never go with them again because of that. We went to Hayle and the accomodation we had was really nice

OracleInaCoracle · 09/01/2008 16:46

did you book online? we have paid 1/2 the total plus cancellation insurance.

what were the kids clubs like?

We paid over the phone I think. Paid some and then the balance about 6 weeks before we went. The kids clubs were ok but my 2 didn't do them as they were still a bit young.

We used to take them to the disco in the evening though

Thsts the one we went to in 2003 Hayle the accomodation was nice we stayed in a lodge the rest was rubbish.

dustystar · 09/01/2008 16:52

Places to visit??? It depends on the ages of your children but i'd recommend:

Paradise Park in Hayle
The Eden Project
Watergate bay for the beach (crowded in summer but worth a visit)

I'll think of some more in a minute

we went to haven last year and ds loved it. is it along the same lines?

this place was a lot of fun

Mevagissey is very pretty and worth a visit- even if its just for lunch

St Ives is lovely and lots of nice shops, art galleries and restaurants as well as the beach

Newquay is fun but very much aimed at a yoof (sp) beach culture - lots of surers etc. The acquarium there is nice but not worth the money in my opinion. The zoo was quite good though.

dustystar · 09/01/2008 17:00

I'm not sure as i've never stayed in a Haven place but i should imagine they're fairly similar. Very busy, lots of entertainment and stuff for the kids etc.

OracleInaCoracle · 09/01/2008 17:30

thank you!

Just realised I forgot lands end. The children can send a letter or postcard with a lands end post mark which my two enjoyed. Its very touristy but worth a visit on the afternoons-eve that they have fireworks.

OracleInaCoracle · 09/01/2008 17:43
