Glastonbury 2022 - anyone else taking their children?

I've been to Glastonbury 3 times prior to having kids and always said when the day came and I had my own offspring I'm taking them!

The year has come! I'll be taking my 4 year old, but my friends are all going without theirs. I've decided I'm still taking my kid, I will camp separate to them all in family camping.

I don't mind going alone with my kiddo, so much I've never seen in Glastonbury as I've just partied but now I want to experience the rest with my love.

I'm looking for tips on taking children. Or to make some friends before we go as I'll be travelling solo with my kiddo.

I'm definitely taking him, we are going to have a ball come Sun, rainy downpours or mud.

Hoping to find some like minded people on this chat 😊

Hello! I came here to find others in the same boat :)

This will be our 6th festival but the first time with our our 2 year old. We are so excited but abut daunted by all the new kit we will need. We are pretty easy going but definitely need a new tent.

Are you taking a wagon / buggy? We can't decide what will be best...

Eat defenders are a must and a bumbag for you with essentials so you don't have to keep taking a rucksack off to get to tissues / wipes / mobile.

Flapjack / protein type bars are great snacks don't melt don't squash etc.

I'm taking a double bike trailer and popping lots of pillows and blankets in it. It will be handy to carry the tent etc too. Also planning on camping right by the kidzfield so will be leaving early hours weds as read it fills up quick.

I've booked another festival the beginning of June as a practise run which is much closer to home.

I've had doubts about taking him but the more I read about glastonbury kids things the more excited I'm getting!

Ear defenders are a great idea thank you. I've also read that fancy dress for the little ones is good as you can spot them easier if they run off in a crowd (praying this doesn't happen).
