What are Haven standard caravans like?

Hi,

We are going to haven Somerset tomorrow, I booked a couple months ago when it was really cheap. Only got a standard caravan, but now starting to worry it will be horrible.
Can anyone let me know what it’s like?
Also anything I should pack I might forget?

Warm blankets.Those standard vans usually only have panel heaters in the bedrooms and they are not the greatest.

And a baking tray for the oven;thé caravans rarely seem to have them.

Anything you know you want kitchen-wise, it can be patchy. Bin liners, tea towels, sponge etc.
Toilet roll and hand soap
Plenty of towels
Larger clothes rack if you're likely to have lots of swimming stuff to dry.
Check if you need to take your own bed linen.

I always take

• a decent kitchen knife
• mugs (they usually only supply tea cups).

They're fine usually. Small, and not all have central heating but if they don't have that they do have a gas fire in the main room.

They do tend to be quite basic with heating so definitely warm blankets, hot water bottles, dressing gowns etc.
Not sure if you're planning on cooking while you're there but I would definitely recommend baking trays as we went in a top rated Haven van & there was nothing to even put a pizza on!
Extra loo roll as you don't always get any at all. Also some kitchen wipes & air freshener. Pegs come in handy for drying swimming stuff, there always used to be airers you could hang out but no pegs.
We went to Burnham on Sea last October & it was a really nice site, been to many Havens over the years. Have a good time!

Take an oven glove! We didn't and it was a nightmare trying to get stuff out the oven!

A bath mat. Towels and tea towels.
