Rainy days in Salcombe

We're planning a last minute week away next month with our three year old and nine month old, and after scouring every holiday let website I can think of we're down to two options - a farm stay near Dartmouth or a cottage in Salcombe. The farm has a swimming pool, play barn etc so would be great for the kids in any weather, but we know the Dartmouth area really well and fancy going somewhere different this time. The beaches in Salcombe look amazing, but I'm not sure what we'd find to do if the weather wasn't great. Does anyone have any tips for activities in and around Salcombe for days when it's not quite beach weather?

I think you will need to travel to Plymouth for rainy day activities, Salcome is a holiday village in the back end of nowhere. Beautiful but second home paradise, so for any facilities you need to return to somewhere that has a full time local population.

There’s lots undercover at Pennywell Farm and there might be lots of baby animals at this time of year!
If it’s only drizzling, then you could do the estuary cruise salcombeestuarycruises.co.uk/product/guided-estuary-cruise/ A good part of the boat is undercover. The Kingsbridge Ferry company also do harbour cruises if you don’t have much luck with the other people.
Woodlands has one of the largest and best indoor play areas in Devon.

You must visit Cranchs sweet shop in Salcombe. It's been there for over a hundred years.
