Best attractions in London and Surrey for a 2 year old

Where are the best places to take a 2 year old that he’ll be old enough to enjoy? We went to Beaulieu last year and I was surprised how much he enjoyed it so I am thinking about the London Transport Museum. We’ve been to the Aquarium before. I was wondering about London zoo but the last time we took him to a zoo, he wasn’t that interested so I wonder if he’s not quite old enough yet? Although that was about 6 months ago now so he might be more interested now.

Godstone Farm is super. Also Mudlarks gallery at the Museum of London Docklands
Chessington has a zoo and a whole load of rides and shows for pre-schoolers, but it is expensive.

Forgot to mention the Discover Children’s Story Centre

Bocketts farm

Seconding Bocketts Farm. Both my boys absolutely adored it at that age and we’d easily spend a full day there.

Godstone farm is lovely. If you can go in a term time weekday chessgton isn't to bad a price (special parent & preschooler ticket) but check height limits on rides before you commit!

Yes, Chessington has quite a lot of rides that are good for two year olds. Hobbledown Farm is fun as well. The London Wetlands is nice - indoor and outdoor play areas that are two year old friendly plus various activities at weekends/holidays.

My two year old loved the London transport museum ! If you are in London check out Discover Children's Story Centre. It’s East London but totally worth it if you are in the area .

I live near Surrey and a few favourites for my one year old and now three year old are :

Hobbledown
bocketts Farm

Those two are huge winners and my top rated attractions by far !

Wisely Gardens is nice

Chessington World of Adventures is okay . We had a membership last year and there are plenty of rides for young kids. I much prefer legoland in Windsor for an amusement park.

If you are looking for an indoor activity and are near kingston then check out Picnic play centre. It’s so cool and a huge hit with my young ones !

Guildford spectrum has lots to do and an awesome indoor leisure pool with water slides and splash pads for toddlers .

Oh I forgot …

One other huge winner is Brooklands Community Park & Skate Park! If your little one has a bike it’s fantastic ! They have walking trails and playgrounds and it’s a favourite of ours !

London transport museum is excellent but check if still any covid restrictions. Chessington do toddler tickets for midweek term time days. I made the mistake of going for half term with my then 2 year old and the queues were ridiculous for the kiddy rides. We waited 45 minutes for some crappy car ride, same for the flying elephants. Lots of toddlers crying in the queues. So don’t touch it in half term!
