Hotel / B&B recommendations for York

I hope to stay in York for a night with my 19 year old daughter, and I would like somewhere that is moderately central and a bit nicer than Premier Inn. Any suggestions?

We stayed here for 2 nights, and one night we ate at the Churchill, mentioned above, which is nearby.

I was going to suggest Bar Convent too - quiet OP 😂, lovely place.

Great OP, you must visit the exhibition there, it is really interesting.

Cafe La Tazzina is a really good, not fancy, family owned Italian just over the street.
