Where next in Cornwall? Have been to Fowey.

I'm planning on flying into Newquay with my elderly mother and would like recommendations on a town/village to stay. We did this also a few years ago, stayed in Fowey and loved it. I'll probably hire a car but don't want to travel for hours. Any recommendations much appreciated!

Padstow is lovely and a contrast to Fowey by being on the north coast. But it is hilly and so would depend on how mobile your mother is. Also st Ives which is beautiful.

Falmouth? Quite flat and lots to see and do nearby.

Another vote here for Falmouth, if you want easy access to everywhere. Otherwise, Helford or anywhere along the Helford River. Beautiful and less busy than the usual places.

We love Bude - stayed there a couple of times.

It really does depend what you want to do on holiday!

Depends on how busy or quiet you like it to be, and what time of year?

I like Bude, St Ives, Porthleven, Crantock, Marazion, Holywell...

Another vote for Falmouth, then road trips to different places along the Helford.
Much more to do than Fowey, it's like the grave here at the moment and I love it
