Child free couple of days in Edinburgh

I will be in Edinburgh for three nights four days alone. I have dinner plans for two of the evenings but would like to find something to do the other evening that I couldn’t do somewhere else (eg. Not a cinema!) I like jazz or comedy or most types of music. I am looking for somewhere for lunch which is reasonable for a catch up with an old friend. I will have about two full days to fill and haven’t been to Edinburgh for twenty odd years! The national museum of Scotland sounds good. Anywhere else?

Just got back from Edinburgh. We went to Spandex comedy which was fun - its a very cheap £2.50 ticket where performers test out their acts. They only do it on a Tuesday night.

That sounds good but sadly not there on a Tuesday

Lots of free walking sightseeing tours 👍

Also the museum at the College of Surgeons is worth a look if that’s your type of thing

For lunch, I’d suggest Toast, Pickles, The Pantry or Badger & Co.
Check out The Voodoo Rooms and Angel’s Share for live music.
