My partner and I are staying in Oxford this weekend and I'd love some restaurant recommendations! Extra points for something a bit different/quirky!

Whereabouts are you staying and what do you like to eat, what sort of environment do you like?

Look at the roof of the Westgate. Mowgli Indian street food is fab and filled with fairy lights, plus you sit on swings! Dirty Bones is also great.

Thaikhun is a bit quirky. It has a really cool interior and serves amazing Thai Street food.
Pierre Victoire is very popular and gets amazing reviews.
The Folly is a riverside cafe and restaurant which always does great food, including one of the best afternoon teas.

Za'atar Bake - this place was AMAZING

If you want pub food there’s always the Turl which is an old, historic pub tucked away on a cobbled street.

I went to Oxford last weekend and lots of planes were fully booked. I'd recommend booking before you go if you can. We went to a nice Thai place but Thaikun was fully booked.

There's a lovely place called Gees just north of the University. It's bistro style food and has a beautiful conservatory.

The White Rabbit is a traditional pub selling pizza which is really good value.

Book for lunch in roof restaurant of ashmolean museum.
In a previous thread a PP recommended this and Gees. Both were great, and are a bit different.

Mowgli is good, like Indian tapas.
