Titanic museum London

Hi all!

Has anyone visited the titanic museum in London and if so is it worth it?

Yes, I went at the weekend and the whole family enjoyed it.

It's rather strange as it's a warehouse with no big entrance or advertising outside, you kind of walk in a fire exit type door!

It's an audio-guided tour around an exhibition of photos and artefacts. The audio is really very good and explains everything really well. You will all need your own headphones and device to scan a QR code and play it. You can rent them there but eww right now!

Adults may find constant reference to the Titanic film a bit annoying but my kids found it a useful way of hooking on facts and separating the fiction. We watched the film the week before in preparation.

There's some really interesting bits and pieces there, including some of the exact same fixtures and fittings from its sister ship. There's tragic personal stories and it ends with photos and footage of the wreck and a tribute to all those lost.

I know there's a few Titanic museums but this is the only one I've been to so I don't know how it compares, but I'd definitely recommend it for adults and children maybe 9+ depending on their patience and interest (mine are older and it's easy to forget).

We are going to this exhibition. We went to Belfast a few years ago and the museum there is fantastic.

@mdh2020 I have heard the Belfast one is amazing and highly rated. Not too sure about the London one.
