Edinburgh Hotel or Apartment - Girls Weekend

VivaVegas · 29/01/2022 13:24

Hi,

Looking for suggestions on where to stay for a weekend for my friend and I.

Would like somewhere walkable into the centre.

Quite like the idea of a hotel with a nice bar.

There are so many options and lots of mixed reviews and we need to get something booked!

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance Smile

Eden Locke. Cool, central, clean and reasonable.

Thank you @interferingma that was on my list of maybes so I'll take another look at that one!

Unfortunately mostly one double bed at Eden Locke with a twin studio over £100 more!

Any more suggestions welcome, thank you.

Budget per night? There’s a lot of places that meet your criteria!

By the way, £100 is not a lot for Edinburgh, if your budget is less you need to be looking at premier inn and travelodge type places.

Kind of what I wondered. Eden Locke has a bar and compared with some of the other hotels with bars really is reasonable. But if you drop that from your criteria you can go cheaper

Eden Locke is £318 total for 2 nights in a double, £474 for the same in a twin!

Ideally we'd like to spend about £150 - £200 a night for a twin room.

Premier Inn Waverley. It’s on Rose Street right behind marks and Spencer. Decent bar. Walk to everything in 30 seconds. I stayed there in September. No issues at all.

Try Rabble which is a bar/restaurant that has rooms.
The Raeburn in Stockbridge too. It’s a bit out of the city centre but only 15min walk to Princes Street, less on the bus, and there’s local places to eat and drink. It’s a “village” suburb.

Make sure you avoid the rugby 6 nations weekends or prices will be £££££
